Day One of Skiing at Remarkables

Today was nearly a fail. I had forgotten to change the time on my mobile phone, so when I had set my alarm for 7:00am NZ time it was still set to Australian time. At Remarkables, the ski field that we always go to when we ski in Queenstown NZ, I had a ski lesson with Keiko. Keiko, Sam and I skied for a while, then he went off to have a look at Shadow (The “advanced” skiers’ chairlift). We later hiked up to the Lookout, took a few pictures, then went up to the weather station (above the lookout) and then skied down Homeward Bound. So tiring...

We were going to have dinner at Bombay Palace, after some random had put a menu for Bombay Palace and Nandos on our winds screen. Great job whoever that was! It was too busy so we went to some ramen shop. Mmmm. RAMEN!

We stopped off at the Patagonia shop, a chocolate shop. It has a great reputation and there is chocolates, coffee and free wifi.Great shop and if they can package it well enough for travel, I shall bring some for various people back at school.
Good stuff.

It is absolutely freezing here.
Hope I don’t get frostbite!

Well, it is my 1st semester break. I have to say that I have never wanted or needed a break so badly. It has been so busy with testblock, work, sports and prefect duties. But finally I get to take a break. Well, to some extent anyway. I have to at least start some work over these couple of weeks, so next semester I start off smoothly.

I am off to Nz! Yes, as usual I am off to Queenstown for a ski.
I am there with my brother for a week and then my dad will come. Although I am not sure if I want to be waking up early and doing sports etc. I reckon that it’ll be good once i get into it. Hoping to still relax a bit though.

The Night on the Star Aquarius/ The Next Day...

My mum and I went on a cruise called the Star Aquarius. The trip was organised by my mums ex-employer for the staff. It was a relatively large boat and had a lot of facilities, although the main attraction was gambling.

When we arrived at the ferry pier we had to undergo various procedures and checks of ID before boarding the ship. Once boarded we went and looked at our cabin and then head up to the bar and restaurant area where we met my mum’s ex-employer. We ate dinner and chatted away, until mum and I decided we would explore the vessel. We were going to have a massage for 45 mins, although they for some absurd reason wouldn’t allow me to have a massage because I was not 18.

After exploring and chatting we headed off to the Karaoke Bar, as it was someone’s birthday and we were all going to meet there. Mum left after an hour of listening to the lousy singing from the majority of the people there. I went to sleep a lot later.

We woke up at 8:30am in a fluster because the boat docked at 9:00am. But we then decided that having breakfast on the boat wouldn’t have been as good as at a cafe.

After breakfast we headed home, went back out to have lunch with mum’s friend, came back home and then got ready to play football.

I had been asked to play a friendly football match at 8:00pm for the Hong Kong women’s team. I think it was the official team, but maybe some of the other players didn’t play that game. We played against a team of men. I scored a goal and made one, while another girl hammered it in from the boundary of the penalty box. The match finished at 10:00pm.

We then went out to a restaurant to have some dinner before heading home. The food was really good and I really liked the restaurant. We go home just before 12:00am.

Nothing...

Today is pretty boring.
I was going to go out but my friend was busy.
I have rugby training tonight at 6:15pm.
